Some netizens recently revealed a surprising interpretation of the “club scene” that appeared in the 10th episode of ENA’s drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.

The love and rights of disabled people and various views of people in society on the issue were depicted in the 10th episode of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, which aired on July 28th. This episode showed Woo Young-woo defending Yang Jung-il (Lee Won-jung), who was suspected of sexually assaulting Shin Hye-young (Oh Hye-soo), an intellectually disabled person. 

In the middle of the broadcast, there is a scene where Choi Soo-yeon headed to the club with her friends after a failed blind date. Choi Soo-yeon had an impromptu meeting with a man at the club. What happened between the two was not described, but the next day, Choi Soo-yeon drew attention in court as she wore her club attire.

Some netizens reacted to this scene, saying that it was somewhat out of place. Others interpreted it as “a scene for comparing the disabled and the non-disabled“. People argued that “it is not a problem for Choi Soo-yeon, a non-disabled person, to go to a club and have an impromptu meeting with a man. However, no matter how much Shin Hye-young, a woman with intellectual disabilities, claims that it is real love, people do not easily believe her”.
