BTS member V has revealed his friendship with IU
On September 12th, the latest video of “IU’s Palette” series with the guest appearance of BTS V was uploaded.
In the video, V said, “There were a lot of requests from fans asking me to appear on ‘IU’s Palette.’ I heard that J-Hope’s episode was really good. I hesitated to appear due to busy promotions, but IU said she would create an amazing legendary stage for me. She said, ‘I will make it the best thing you’ve done in 2023,’ so I decided to appear.“
IU said, “It’s not our first time meeting each other,” and mentioned that they usually speak informally. IU said, “V mentioned that it would be more comfortable for him to speak informally. So, we decided to switch between formal and informal speech. We chose what feels comfortable.” V added, “We became close because our music discussions matched well.“
Regarding the pre-release songs ‘Love Me Again’ and ‘Rainy Days,’ V mentioned that both music videos were filmed in Spain. He said, “I couldn’t bring my dog Yeontan to Spain. So, I cast a dog that resembles him in Spain. I portrayed my daily life in the MVs.”
V said he first contacted producer Min Hee Jin, “I thought I wouldn’t be able to maximize my charm alone. I thought of someone who could help me and asked for her assistance.”
V mentioned that he enjoys taking breaks, “I really like it. When I saw the members releasing solo projects one by one, I thought, ‘I should try it too.’ I originally planned to release it in December last year, but it didn’t go as I expected, so I started over completely.“
V revealed he started exercising, “I’ve been doing weight training, cardio, and other exercises for about four months. I think it’s important to stay healthy, so I’m doing it consistently.“
Regarding his acting plans, V said, “I want to do it. I want to try the thriller genre. After watching Netflix’s ‘Hellbound,’ my thoughts on acting completely changed.“
Talking about actively communicating through social media, V said, “I think I did it when I was bored. I think, ‘What are ARMYs doing?’ So, I quietly observe what they are doing. Time passes by when I watch them happily. My personality pattern has become like this because of ARMYs. They share what they did during the day, and when I see that, I become like an ARMY too. It happened naturally at some point.“
V said, “Before the album was released, I was nervous because I didn’t know how everyone would react. There is no one who knows me better than the fans. Even my dad doesn’t know me.“
Lastly, he said, “ARMYs have been waiting for over a year. I prepared diligently. It’s a new starting point for me and a turning point for my persona as ‘V.’ I have the ambition to do more songs and diverse music. I will repay the fans with a beautiful heart in various ways in the future.“
