BTS’s V has made waves on Instagram, being recognized as the ‘Most Influential Asian Star in the World’ according to influencer analysis firm HypeAuditor. V secured the 7th position in the ‘Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers Worldwide,’ marking the highest rank among Asian stars.

In the music category, V ranked 4th, following Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, and Billie Eilish.

The country with the highest number of V’s Instagram followers is the United States, with 12.1 million, accounting for 18% of his total followers. V ranked 7th in the ‘Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers in the U.S.’ and is the only Asian star in the top 10.

In the UK, V also achieved 3rd place in the ‘Top 1000 Most Influential Influencers,’ being the only Asian star in the top 50.

Beyond English-speaking countries, V has significant influence in South America and Asia. In Brazil, a key hub for Hallyu popularity, V ranked 7th, the highest among Asian stars. In Indonesia, he ranked 2nd, just behind Cristiano Ronaldo, showcasing his top position among Asian stars worldwide.

Recently, internet marketing service Phlanx released rankings for average ‘likes’ on Instagram posts. V topped the list with an average of 11.3 million ‘likes’ per post. In comparison, Taylor Swift, who has 284 million followers, received an average of 7 million ‘likes.’

V holds the highest average ‘likes’ among all celebrities, not just artists. Cristiano Ronaldo, the world’s number one with 635 million followers, averages 9 million ‘likes,’ indicating that V’s followers exhibit higher engagement and loyalty compared to Ronaldo’s significantly larger follower base.

V’s influence is often reflected in numbers. Luxury brand Celine saw over a 51% increase in sales after appointing V as their ambassador. According to Richemont, Cartier’s parent company, V’s ambassadorship contributed to record-breaking jewelry sales of 14.2 billion euros for the fiscal year 2023.

French influencer marketing platform Lefty also acknowledged V’s influence by naming him the ‘Top Fashion Influencer’ among male celebrities for 2023.
