BTS’s Jin posts a sarcastic remark about malicious commenters 

Jin expressed his feelings after the suspects who spread malicious rumors about BTS were sent to prosecution.

On September 29th, Big Hit Music, BTS’s management label, released an official position on the progress of legal responses to BTS having their rights violated. The statement reads, “After a long police investigation, the suspects have been identified and were recently sent to the local prosecutor’s office.”

Jin, the oldest member of BTS, also shared his reaction to this news. Through the fan community Weverse, Jin said, “What did the malicious commenters even do that they are being sent to the prosecutor’s office? They are asking for trouble..”

On the same day, Big Hit Music said, “We are taking regular legal action against writers of malicious posts such as defamation, insults, sexual harassment, spreading false information, and malicious slander against BTS. We have submitted a number of complaints with the investigative agency based on recent fan reports and evidence of defamation posts.”

Big Hit continued, “Recently, defamatory posts that spread obviously false information about our artists on domestic and foreign platforms have been monitored. We identified the type of poster who spread the same malicious rumor on multiple platforms and filed a complaint after collecting all data. Malicious posts are included in the complaint after 365 days of monitoring and verification in accordance with our legal response process. Active reports from fans are very helpful in monitoring malicious posts.”

Big Hit added, “The process of collecting, reporting, and taking legal measures to deal with malicious posts about BTS is continuously taking place. We would like to emphasize that we will keep implementing strong actions against the suspects without any agreement or leniency.”
