BTS’s Jimin personally apologizes for recent controversy, “I’m sorry for making you worry because of my inexperience”

BTS’s Jimin has issued an apology for the controversy over unpaid health insurance premiums.

On June 2nd, Jimin shared a long post on the fan community platform Weverse, starting with “ARMYs, this is Jimin. Have you all been well?”

Jimin said, “This time, I have gone to America. I’m grateful and honored to have ARMYs from various races, countries, and cultures, so I was able to participate in this event on behalf of you and raise my voice.”

He continued, “However, I wondered if I was still too immature to represent all of you. I’m sorry for the times I caused you concern because of my inexperience. In the future, I will try to become a more mature me so that you don’t have to worry anymore.”

Earlier, in April, a controversy erupted after it was revealed that Jimin had his apartment seized due to unpaid health insurance premiums. On January 25th, the Yongsan branch of the National Health Insurance Corporation seized Jimin’s Nine One Hannam apartment, which was eventually canceled after Jimin realized that he was late and paid the full amount in arrears. In May 2021, Jimin purchased a 244.35 m² apartment in Nine One Hannam in full cash.

Big Hit Music, Jimin’s agency, explained that it was the company’s negligence due to the omission of mail, and that Jimin was not aware of this due to long vacations and overseas schedules, so he paid the full amount immediately after confirmation.

BTS returned home today (June 2nd) from their visit to the White House in the United States. They had a conversation with President Biden for about 35 minutes in the Oval Office of the White House on May 31st. This meeting happened as the White House invited BTS to wrap up the ‘Asia-American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month’.

Meanwhile, BTS is about to make a comeback with the new album ‘Proof’ on June 10th.

Below is the full apology posted by Jimin.

“ARMYs, this is Jimin.

How are you guys doing?

This time, we went to America. You must have already known which event we attended.

I’m grateful and honored to have ARMYs from various races, countries, and cultures, so I was able to participate in this event on behalf of you and raise my voice.”

However, I wondered if I was still too immature to represent all of you. I’m sorry for the times I caused you concern because of my inexperience. In the future, I will try to become a more mature me so that you don’t have to worry anymore.

You must have been worried because I don’t come here to greet you often these days. I’ll come often.

I always miss you, ARMYs.”
