Boy group BTS won the “Special International Music Award” for 2 consecutive years at the Japan Record Awards.
BTS took home the “Special International Music Award” at the 63rd Japan Record Awards, which was broadcast live through TBS on Dec 30th. The “Special International Music Award” was newly established last year, and the first winner BTS was honored with the award for 2 years in a row.
BTS is the only foreign artist to receive an award at this year’s Japan Record Awards. The group has also been named the only overseas artist to win at this awards ceremony so far. The members expressed their feelings through a video, “We are grateful to receive this precious award again after last year. We are happy that many people listened to our songs this year as well.”
