Shin Min-ah Reveals Affection for Senior Actress Kim Hae-sook: “Just Looking at Her Eyes Made Me Cry”

Shin Min-ah expressed her affection towards veteran actress Kim Hae-sook, her co-star in the movie ‘Our Season’

The press screening for the movie ‘Our Season’ was held on November 27th at Lotte Cinema Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. Director Yook Sang-hyo, and actors Kim Hae-sook, Shin Min-ah, Kang Ki-young, and Hwang Bo-ra attended the event.

‘Our Season’ is a healing fantasy film about Jin-joo (Shin Min-ah), who runs a Korean restaurant with her mother Bok-ja (Kim Hae-sook), who came on vacation from heaven.

Kim Hae-sook responded to the question, “How was the chemistry between you and Shin Min-ah?” by saying, “I felt that I truly love Min-ah. The gaze and the emotions of love while acting felt like we are actual mother and daughter. After watching the movie, it felt like I was acting with my own daughter.”

In response, Shin Min-ah said, “At first, acting with Kim Hae-sook put pressure on me, and I wondered, ‘Can I do well?’ I was nervous. But after shooting the first scene with her, I thought, ‘We are the same person,’ and Jin-joo looked lovely thanks to her. I’m grateful.”

Shin Min-ah revealed that she could cry just by looking at Kim Hae-sook’s eyes during filming. Shin Min-ah shared, “Tears welled up when I acted while looking into her eyes. Tears were flowing too much from the rehearsal, and the director asked me to hold back.”

Continuing, she said, “I held back and acted during the actual shooting, but it was good that the emotions went into the movie. Just by looking into her eyes, an atmosphere was created where the acting would naturally turn out well.”

‘Our Season’ will be released on December 6th.
