BTS makes history by receiving AMA’s “Artist of The Year”

The group BTS was the first Asian singer to win the grand prize at the 2021 American Music Awards (AMAs).

BTS won the Artist of the Year Award at the awards ceremony held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, USA on the morning of the 22nd (Korea Standard Time). The group beat prominent candidates such as 32-time-AMA-winner Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Olivia Rodrigo, Drake, and The Weeknd.

Earlier, BTS also won”Favorite Pop Song” and “Favorite Pop Duo/Group” with its global hit “Butter.” Accordingly, BTS has won awards the American Music Awards for the fourth consecutive year from 2018 to this year.
