BLACKPINK’s Rosé Hinted at First Solo Project After Leaving YG

On the 11th, Rosé posted a photo of herself in the recording studio on her account, sharing her current situation.

The recording machine in the studio is labeled ‘ROSIE,’ suggesting that recording for Rosé has taken place.

Rosé’s movements have gained attention, especially since YG Entertainment recently announced the renewal of contracts for BLACKPINK’s group activities. On December 29th, YG stated, “We recently signed a contract extension for BLACKPINK’s group activities and agreed not to pursue separate contracts for individual activities.”

They further mentioned, “We will fully support BLACKPINK’s activities, and we will warmly support individual activities of the members.”

Subsequently, several internationally renowned music producers simultaneously followed Rosé’s Instagram account, hinting at her collaboration with overseas producers for a new album. Those who followed Rosé’s account include Canadian singer-songwriter and music producer Scott, American music producer and record executive Rob Bisel, American singer-songwriter Dracy, and Jean Stone.

All of them are producers who have produced hit songs in the North American music market, leading to expectations that Rosé is aiming for solo activities in the North American market.

Furthermore, last October, Rosé was captured having a meal with Ron Perry, the CEO of the major U.S. record label Columbia Records. Columbia Records is known for representing globally famous musicians such as Adele, Beyoncé, and Harry Styles.

Given that Rosé has already gained recognition internationally through her activities with BLACKPINK, there is speculation that her overseas-focused activities will also be successful.

Meanwhile, recently, BLACKPINK member Jennie established her own one-person agency, ‘ODDATELIER’ and Jisoo is reported to establish an entertainment company ‘Blisoo’ under her brother’s leadership and pursue individual activities. Lisa’s future plans have not been confirmed or disclosed.
