BLACKPINK was invited to headline Coachella after finishing a concert, and their reaction was precious.
BLACKPINK received an invitation to become the headliner for Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the world’s biggest music festival, after their “BORN PINK” concert in Paris back in December 2022.
Coachella, known for its diverse and star-studded lineup, approached BLACKPINK with the utmost admiration.
Paul Tolett, the founder of Coachella, personally went to BLACKPINK’s concert and extended the invitation to the group backstage, acknowledging their exceptional impact.
Tolett told the members, “We want you to headline Coachella. You’re just bigger and better than anyone. It’s so logical.“
BLACKPINK members were all shocked upon hearing Tolett’s offer, saying it’s a “dream come true” for them and expressing their excitement to return to Coachella.
Jennie particularly had her mouth wide open in amazement and Rosé immediately hugged her. The members all smiled brightly, clapped their hands, and had a group hug with Tolett afterwards.
BLACKPINK successfully took the stage as headliner at Coachella in Indio, California on April 15th and 22nd, making history for a K-pop group.
