BLACKPINK’s pop-up store turns New York pink, special collaboration with Verdy

Collaborating with graphic designer Verdy,  girl group BLACKPINK has unveiled a special pop-up store in New York, USA.

According to YG PLUS, on August 9th (local time), the BLACKPINK Pop-up Store was opened on West 25th Street in New York, bringing a unique experience to fans. 

Verdy, the creative director of brands “Girls Don’t Cry” and “Wasted Youth”, who is currently considered the hottest artist in the streetwear scene, has integrated his unique style and artistic sense into this limited-edition capsule collection. He also introduced a new character designed specifically for BLACKPINK, in addition to his iconic character ‘Vick.’

Regarding the BLACKPINK’s pop-up store, YG PLUS stated, “Fans eager to purchase premium limited-edition items such as T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and accessories that combine the distinct styles and artistic sensibilities of the two artists (BLACKPINK and Verdy) filled the pop-up store as soon as it opened.”

Particularly, fans’ attention were drawn to the BLACKPINK custom electric bicycle, which was first introduced for sale at the New York pop-up store and recorded high sales from the first day of the pop-up.

Additionally, visitors can take commemorative four-cut photos with specially made photo frames to celebrate BLACKPINK’s 7th anniversary. Every buyer also receives a limited-edition tote bag designed by Verdy.

A YG PLUS representative stated, “The collaboration between BLACKPINK’s stylish sensibility and Verdy’s creativity in the ‘BLINK capsule collection’ announcement has attracted fans from all over the United States,” adding, “Despite the hot summer weather, fans lined up early in the morning and waited for hours to enter.”

Until August 12th in local time, BLACKPINK’s pop-up store turns New York pink. It is known that more openings are currently in plans in major cities around the world.
