BIGBANG G-Dragon went all out for Taeyang’s new start by making “this”

G-Dragon (real name Kwon Ji Yong), the leader of boy group BIGBANG, show his support for the new start of member Taeyang.

On January 3rd, G-Dragon published an image of Taeyang’s new logo, along with the caption “Nothing new under the sun”, on his Instagram account. Meanwhile, Taeyang expressed his gratitude by leaving a yellow heart emoticon in the comments.

G-Dragon also posted an edit of himself and Taeyang looking up at the sky. Here, a big explosion occurs in what appears to be space, and Taeyang’s new official logo emits a green glow. Although Taeyang’s agency has changed, this post seems to have sent a message to fans that BIGBANG friendship remains unchanged.

Previously, in December of 2022, Taeyang left YG Entertainment (hereafter referred to as YG) and moved to The Black Label, a YG-affiliated company. The Black Label is founded and headed by producer Teddy, and is currently managing Zion.T and Jeon Somi.

At the time, YG issued an official position and said that Taeyang is still an important piece of YG family and a member of BIGBANG. Meanwhile, The Black Label said that Taeyang will be starting anew with them based on a mutual trust in music.

Currently, G-Dragon is the only Big Bang member left in YG. He recently signed a fourth contract renewal with YG and announced a comeback. Taeyang is also preparing for his solo career. Attention is being focused on the future releases of the BIGBANG members, who have parted in company but still together as a group.
