BIBI Recalls When She Had Burnout And Cried On Live Broadcast, “I Slept For 3-4 Hours And Couldn’t Eat”

Singer & actress BIBI mentioned when she caused a stir when crying on a live broadcast in the past

On October 10th, BIBI (Kim Hyung-seo) had an interview at a cafe in Seocho-dong, Seoul. Recalling her hard times in the past, the actress said, “Back then, I couldn’t eat or sleep because I was on a diet. I couldn’t see anything else”.

Earlier in July last year, BIBI suddenly shed tears when she hosted an Instagram live broadcast and complained about her burnout.

At that time, she cried and shared, “I want to take a nap and rest but I can’t. Fans don’t know how hard I work. I wish I hadn’t become a singer. I can’t even remove my makeup”. The video quickly spread online, raising fans’ concerns over BIBI overworking herself. Some even raised suspicions that the agency was forcing her to do excessive schedules.

In this regard, BIBI said, “I think I was out of my mind at that time. But I still think it was lucky that I showed it to everyone. Otherwise, I might have died. (laughs) I was abusing myself back then. Now I realize that I shouldn’t do that to myself anymore”

She continued, “There are lots of meetings that fans cannot see. People may have misunderstood it because they don’t know my schedule. I knew that I needed time to rest and exercise”, adding “I’m glad I no longer have such thoughts these days”.

Meanwhile, “Hopeless” (director Kim Chang-hoon), starring BIBI, is a noir movie about the boy Yeon-gyu (Hong Xa-bin), who wants to escape from the hellish reality, meeting the middle boss of a gang Chi-geon (Song Joong-ki) and joining the world of crime. BIBI plays Yeon-gyu’s younger sister Ha-yan.

Making her debut as a singer in 2017, BIBI is also carrying out acting activities. She has appeared in various works, such as “Whispering Corridors 6: The Humming”, “Phantom”, “The Worst of Evil”, etc.
