BamBam Reveals His Encounter With G-Dragon “He Asked Me About The Ending Of ‘EXchange’, But I Didn’t Tell Him”
Singer BamBam shared a story about meeting G-Dragon (GD) by chance in Itaewon
On August 9th, the YouTube channel “ZIP DAESUNG” released a video featuring BamBam.
Though Daesung and BamBam had crossed paths 2~3 times at the same shop, it was their first time actually having a conversation. BamBam recalled, “I ran into you in the elevator when I was an MC on ‘M Countdown’. I was only 19 years old then.” When the staff said “When you first met, you only wrote a letter to GD“, Daesung added, “Oh! I remember. That’s right. He wrote a letter only to GD.”
BamBam shared that GD was his role model, saying, “I used to follow his stage manner and gestures. But I realized I didn’t have my own, so I started finding my own style, and my life has improved a lot. Once I got my unique style, it felt much better.” Daesung said “Many people used to follow him. In the waiting room… TD, CD, DD”, causing laughter.
BamBam then shared that he met GD by chance last year in Itaewon. BamBam said, “I’ve never seen GD at the shop. Roughly around March or April last year… Do you know the channel ‘Korean Englishman’? We filmed together. After it ended, they suggested going to Itaewon for a drink. It was a small, underground bar. I was with the Korean Englishman team. Suddenly, the owner comes over. ‘Someone in the private room wants to say hello.’ When I went in, it was GD who greeted me with ‘Hello, BamBam’.”
BamBam continued, “At the time, ‘EXchange’ was airing, so he asked me about the ending, but I told him, ‘Oh, I can’t tell you that. If I breach the contract, there’s a penalty.'” He also mentioned that GD invited him to join him for a second round, saying, “I even got a ride in his car. At that moment in his car, I thought, ‘Wow, I’m really a successful fan.’ I’ve never talked about this story anywhere else.”
However, BamBam added, “We didn’t exchange numbers. GD said he would reach out to me through another guy. But it’s been a year now.” Hearing this, Daesung joked, “When was the last time I saw him? I think it’s been even longer for me.” BamBam humorously suggested “You can meet him in Itaewon”, bringing laughter to the conversation.
