BABYMONSTER, “Feeling the Popularity After Debut? Seeing Fans at the Airport”

YG Entertainment girl group BABYMONSTER recently spoke about the changes they experienced after debut.

Recently on July 16, BABYMONSTER appeared as guests on a radio show.

Regarding their recent comeback with single “FOREVER”, member Rora said, “This time we came out with a different vibe from ‘SHEESH’, with different outfits and sets, so it felt new.”

When asked about the difference in feelings compared to their debut, Rami admitted, “I feel more relaxed now. I was nervous because it was our debut back then.” To this, Asa also joked, “At first, I couldn’t find the cameras, but now I’m used to it and my gaze naturally goes to them.”

BABYMONSTER also shared stories from their ‘[BABYMONSTER PRESENTS: SEE YOU THERE] IN JAPAN’ held on the 11th and 12th at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo. The 20,000 seats prepared for the two days, plus an additional 6,000 seats opened due to fans’ requests, were all sold out. Rora expressed, “We did it! It felt natural. We were very thankful for the huge turnout.

Japanese member Ruka shared, “My parents came to watch, and it felt like a dream to perform in my hometown. My parents said I looked cool.” Meanwhile, Asa reminisced, “My grandmother, cousins, and all my family came. They said they cried during our intro. Hearing that touched me, making it a meaningful and happy experience.”

BABYMONSTER also held a fan meeting in Thailand. Thai member Pharita recalled, “I was very moved. Everyone cried while we sang a ballad, even though it was a pre-debut song. I could see my friends and family clearly in front.” Another Thai member, Chiquita, added, “My family watched too, and I saw my mom crying during the performance.”

The group then shared how their lives have changed since their debut. When asked about moments they realized their fame, Pharita mentioned, “When I went to Thailand, fans were waiting at the airport. I thought, ‘Wow, they know me.’” Rora added, “A company employee went to Thailand and saw our Pepsi ad. That’s when it hit me that we had debuted.” Ruka said, “Our song played while I was shopping. It happened in Korea and even in Japan.”
