In the show Mcountdown on August 12, Somi was honored as the winner of this week’s show. She overcame ASTRO to take home the first win for the song ‘DUMB DUMB‘. Her fans couldn’t help but be happy for Somi when she began to receive the first results for her comeback after a year of absence.
Especially after Somi burst into tears and confessed on the radio that she had put in a lot of effort for this comeback, even having to go to the hospital for intravenous fluids. Therefore, now seeing her happily celebrating the victory, her fans have felt a little more secure.
Somi has given the audience an excellent performance on the stage this week, showing no signs of exhaustion. Her face could not hide the happiness that she kept smiling as she freely played and danced with her crew.
As for live vocals, Somi performed quite well. Except for a few parts where her voice was lost due to laughter and jokes, along with the rap part being a bit quiet, the rest of her encore was fine. Especially the high note at the end was shown very well. She had reached the correct pitch, her note’s clarity and brightness were perfect. In comparison to her comeback a year earlier, her vocals were noticeably better and more steady.
