These horror dramas, while varying in degree of scariness, have something unique to offer for the audiences.

Fortunately, she finds a way out of the situation by touching the handsome yet self-centered President So Ji Sub. This strange dependency leads to a gradual bloom to romance between the characters.

“Kingdom” revolves around the story of a prince (Joo Ji Hoon) who discovers a political scheme that drives him to look into a zombie disease that is raging across the kingdom. Facing the dangers of the unknown and the enemies, the prince stays firm to his ideal and beliefs to uncover the truth and restores peace to his nation.

This was the first Korean zombie project produced by Netflix that gained vast popularity and laid the foundations for succeeding works. The series is definitely not to miss for action thriller fans. 

Oh My Ghost (Park Bo Young, Jo Jung Suk)

“Oh My Ghost” is a slow-paced horror comedy that tells the story of Na Bong Sun (Park Bo Young), who is timid, has low self-esteem and can see ghosts.

She is an assistant chef for a restaurant and was constantly scolded. One day, she is possessed by the spirit of Shin Soon Ae and has a drastic personality change. She becomes a smiley, talkative and brave girl. She falls for her boss (Jo Jung Suk) before the possession but only actively pursues him when Shin Ae takes over her, leading to a series of ironic acts. 

A Korean Odyssey (Lee Seung Gi, Oh Yeon Seo)

Inspired by the famous “Journey to the West”, “A Korean Odyssey” is a story of Son Oh Gong (Lee Seung Gi) and Woo Hwi (Cha Seung Won).

Both are seeking for a source of goodness in a world of evils. They come across Jin Sun Mi (Oh Yeon Seo), a beautiful girl with a vision that allows her to see ghosts. Jin Sun Mi falls prey to many dangerous situations where Son Oh Gong always rushes to the rescue. They start to fall for one another and overcome many obstacles to be with each other. 

Hotel Del Luna (IU, Yeo Jin Goo)

At the center of luxurious Seoul there is a high-rise hotel not many can see. The hotel carries the name Hotel Del Luna under the management of  Jang Man Wol, an immortal spirit living through the centuries.

The hotel only takes special customers, the dead who are reaching the other side. Jang Man Wol also receives commission to help them fulfill their last wishes. Man Wol later comes across a special hotelier that bears a fated bond, helping each other to overcome the pain of the past. He and Jang Man Wol develop feelings along the way.

“Hotel Del Luna” is a perfect blend of horror and romance that can satisfy fans of both genres. IU carried out an especially wonderful performance that can keep your eyes glued to the screen. 

Happiness (Han Hyo Joo, Park Hyung Sik)

Premised on a zombie theme, “Happiness” focuses on an apartment building plagued by a zombie virus.  Yoon Sae Bom and Jung Yi Hyun are two police officers who act as husband and wife and live in the building. They help other residents to survive the disease.

This zombie story is also a humane and emotional journey where humanity and human nature is looked at and examined closely, making it a must-watch on this Halloween list. 

All Of Us Are Dead (Yoon Chan Young, Cho Yi Hyun, Lomon)

All Of Us Are Dead,

All Of Us Are Dead” is a highschool zombie story of the plague sweeping through a highschool and sealing them off from the outside world, pushing them to extreme danger. Confronting the ravishing endemic, each student taps into their survival instinct that brings about different outcomes.

The series is heavy on its approach alone and the young stars of the show leave quite an impression for the viewers.
