On the latest episode of MBC’s variety program “I Live Alone,” which aired on September 29th, Lee Chan-hyuk’s sweet mother-and-son was revealed.

In this episode, Lee Chan-hyuk hung out with his mother in Yeonnam-dong, Seoul. The two drew attention with their similar visuals.
Later, Lee Chan-hyuk invited his mother to his home and served her the first dish he had ever made in his life. He started cooking ambitiously by preparing seaweed soup and stir-fried spicy pork recipe.

After many twists and turns, a table of Chan-hyuk’s dishes was set up for his mother. Lee Chan-hyuk’s mother tasted it with emotion and expectation, saying, “It’s the first food you made for me.” But burst into laughter when tasting the salty soup and Lee Chan-hyuk couldn’t raise his head.
After that, Lee Chan-hyuk had a deep conversation with his mother. He was referring to the period the two siblings wanted independence from their parents. Lee Chan-hyuk, who has always been with his family since middle school, said, “It took courage to be apart (from my parents). We might be inexperienced and it might be difficult, but I told you because I don’t think we can develop without this process,” he recalled.

In particular, Lee Chan-hyuk’s mother confessed she was shicked, “I cried for a month. It was really hard at first when you guys became independent. It was really unexpected. I had a strong thought that I didn’t want to be separated from my children,” and Lee Chan-hyuk also recalled, “At that time, my mother had difficulty breathing.”
But now, in the third year of their independence, the mother said, “I think it’s a good thing that they are independent now.
