aespa told Billboard, “We’ve been preparing a never-seen-before performance of our unreleased song for Coachella”

Girl group aespa expressed expectations for their Coachella stage through an interview with the U.S. music media Billboard.

Billboard released an interview post titled “aespa Share Details on Coachella Debut & ‘New Music That Will Wow the World’” on their official website on April 21st, highlighting aespa’s debut at Coachella.

Billboard asked about aespa’s feelings and how they had been preparing for Coachella. In response, Karina said, “We don’t have much experience performing live in front of an audience since we debuted during the pandemic, so the thought of performing in front of a large audience at Coachella, which is the dream stage for many artists, made me feel very nervous”. She added, “We are incredibly excited and looking forward to performing our music live to the audience and delivering positive energy to the crowd. We worked hard to prepare a special performance for Coachella, including a never-seen-before performance of our unreleased track, so we hope everyone enjoys it”.

When asked if the members had any memories of the Coachella in the past years, Winter drew attention as she said, “Every year I watch clips of artists performing at Coachella online and remember thinking, ‘I hope to have the opportunity to go and perform someday.’ Now, my dream has become reality and I’m so grateful to be a part of this year’s festival!”

In addition, when asked if aespa has plans to return to the U.S. for more activities in the future, Giselle answered, “We will be back in the U.S. to promote our next album, and when the situation is safe, we hope we can meet more of our MYs around the world.”

Lastly, to Billboard’s question about aespa’s upcoming activities in 2022, NingNing said, “We plan to carry out more global promotions through various activities and contents this year. We are doing our best to bring fresh new music to our fans. We are hoping to meet more fans in person this year so please look forward to it.”

With aespa’s rising global popularity, famous foreign media outlets such as British music magazine NME, American magazine NYLON, entertainment news platform Elite Daily, Indian music media Rolling Stone India, and more, have also published articles showing high interest in the group’s upcoming Coachella performance.

aespa has been confirmed to appear on the main stage of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival held in Indio, California on April 24 (Korean time) and perform their smash hits ‘Black Mamba’, ‘Next Level,’ ‘Savage’, as well as an unreleased new song stage specially prepared for Coachella.
