A song inspired by Lee Yoo Mi and Jung Ho Yeon’s friendship in “Squid Game” was released

After watching “Squid Game”, Winterplay’s Lee Joo Han was inspired to write the song ‘Gganbu (067&240)’.

On April 30th, on the occasion of ‘International Jazz Day’, Lee Joo Han of the jazz band Winterplay released his new single ‘Gganbu (067&240)’.

‘Gganbu(067&240)’ is a song written by Lee Joo Han himself. He was impressed by the the special friendship between player #067 (Jung Ho Yeon) and player #240 (Lee Yoo Mi), who sacrifices her life for her friend in a tear-jerking scene of Netflix original hit series “Squid Game”. The song is a combination of jazz and Korean traditional music. It contains the simple yet sad sound of Haegeum (traditional Korean string instrument) and leaves a deep lingering impression.

On the same day, to commemorate the ‘International Jazz Day’, an online concert titled ‘Soul of Seoul in celebration of International Jazz Day 2022′ was held online. The concert was designed to introduce K-Jazz to global music fans and introduced a variety of songs from traditional jazz to fusion jazz and vocal jazz, including ‘Gganbu (067 & 240)’.
