“Queen of Tears” Episode 11’s Rating Dropped A Little But Peaked At 20% In Real-time

Episode 11 of tvN’s Sat-Sun drama “Queen of Tears” showed Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun) and Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won) overcoming their crisis and restoring their affectionate love. 

According to Nielsen Korea, this episode recorded an average nationwide rating of 16.8% (real-time peak 18.2) and 18.5% in the Seoul area (peak 20%), ranking No.1 among programs airing at the same time. In the 2049 chart, the drama rating soared to 8.7% nationwide and  9.3% in Seoul area, breaking their own highest rating record in this chart for five consecutive weeks.

At the press conference after returning to Queen’s Department Store as the CEO, Hong Hae-in revealed everything to the public, from the fact that Yoon Eun-sung threatened her to her illness, and eventually collapsed due to deteriorating condition. Hearing the news, her family rushed to the hospital and Baek Hyun-woo stayed with her all night long.

After regaining consciousness, Hong Hae-in confessed her feelings to her family and calmly expressed her sincerity to her husband Baek Hyun-woo, saying “I love you. I’ve loved you from the first time I met you until now”. Hugging Hong Hae-in tightly, Baek Hyun-woo tried to hold back his tears and said, “You won’t die. I’ll never let you go”.

After getting to know about Hong Hae-in’s condition, Yongdu-ri and Queen’s families became much closer as they only focused on curing the illness. Because of Hong Hae-in’s disclosure of Yoon Eun-sung’s threat at the press conference, the stock price of Queen’s Group dropped dramatically every day. Baek Hyun-woo found out that Yoon Eun-sung and Mo Seul-hee couldn’t find Hong Man-dae’s slush funds so he decided to fight back with Hong Hae-in.

With the help of Grace (Kim Joo-ryeong), the two successfully tracked down the warehouse known to be Hong Man-dae’s slush fund acquisition route. Due to the sudden pouring rain, Baek Hyun-woo went to get the car. Getting tired while waiting for her husband, Hong Hae-in almost fell but Baek Hyun-woo appeared with an umbrella instead of a car and took her inside the car. Later, the two were chased by an unidentified car. Hong Hae-in was shocked even more when the person coming out of the opposite car was Baek Hyun-woo. It turned out that she mistook Yoon Eun-sung for Baek Hyun-woo due to her illness and got into Yoon Eun-sung’s car without knowing it.

There are only five episodes left until “Queen of Tears” ends. Episode 12 will air at 9:20 p.m. on April 14th.
