On November 6, the YouTube channel Study King Real Genius Hong Jin Kyung aired a video titled “First Time on YouTube! Jun Ji Hyun Opens Up About Her Life from Debut to Marriage.” The episode featured the star herself in a rare variety appearance.
Sitting down with Hong Jin Kyung, Jang Young Ran, and Lee Ji Hye, Jun Ji Hyun charmed audiences with her wit and candid remarks.
“This is my first time doing a talk show like this,” she admitted shyly, “but I gained a lot of courage thanks to joining my beloved sisters.”
When asked what she had eaten before the shoot, she simply answered, “Just a little egg.”
On the topic of her hometown, Jun Ji Hyun shared, “I was born and raised in Cheongdam-dong. But back then, there weren’t many tall buildings like now — it was mostly rice fields and farmland.”
Discussing her school days, Jun Ji Hyun humbly reflected, “I debuted so young that I didn’t really have the chance to experience school popularity.” Hong Jin Kyung quipped, “As for me, I’ve never been dumped. If someone claims they did, please report them,” causing everyone to burst into laughter.
After the interview, Lee Ji Hye remarked, “When I meet successful top stars like Jun Ji Hyun, I always feel there’s something to learn. Even though it’s our first time meeting, I’ve learned a lot.”
With her down-to-earth personality, Jun Ji Hyun reminded fans once again why she remains one of Korea’s most beloved stars.
