According to a report by Xports News on October 16, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are currently finalizing preparations for their upcoming release. The group initially planned to pre-release a digital single followed by a full album later in the year. As scheduled, the digital single “JUMP” was released in July and quickly topped weekly charts.

Despite earlier goals for an October or November release, the group has adjusted their timeline, now aiming for mid-December. The delay is attributed to their demanding world tour schedule and simultaneous album production.

In response to the report, a YG Entertainment representative told Edaily, “As this is BLACKPINK’s first album release in a long time, we are putting our utmost effort into post-production to ensure top quality. Details such as the release date and promotional schedule will be announced through official channels.”

This statement neither confirmed nor denied the December timeline, leaving fans eager for an official announcement.

“JUMP” marked BLACKPINK’s first group comeback in three years since their 2nd full-length album in September 2022. The single not only debuted at No.1 on weekly charts but also set a new record for the fastest K-pop girl group song to surpass 300 million streams on Spotify, achieving the feat in just two months.

With a full album on the horizon, fan anticipation is building for what is expected to be another major milestone in BLACKPINK’s career.

Meanwhile, the group is currently touring as part of their “Deadline” world tour, having completed performances in North America and Europe. Upcoming shows include cities such as Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
