Korean Actress Criticized Intensely for Harassing Male Colleague

In recent days, actress Jeong Ga Eun has faced criticism for posting intimate photos with a male colleague. Notably, in the photos, the actress engages in sensitive behavior with her co-star.

On the afternoon of July 27, iMBC reported that actress Jeong Ga Eun apologized for the sexual harassment controversy that has led to her being boycotted in recent days. Through her personal page, Jeong Ga Eun shared: “I posted a photo taken behind the scenes of a rehearsal for the play and made everyone uncomfortable with my careless words. From now on, I will be more careful and cautious in my words and actions.”

Earlier, on July 25, Jeong Ga Eun posted a photo showing her and her co-star rehearsing for a play. In the photo, the two are in close contact, with Jeong Ga Eun even touching her co-star’s buttocks. Notably, when posting the photo, Jeong Ga Eun made a sexually harassing remark: “My hands are very strong.” The actress’s post immediately caused a public uproar. Jeong Ga Eun later deleted the post due to the controversy.

According to Newsis, Jeong Ga Eun’s posting of the photo on social media, along with the accompanying comment, is inappropriate as it could constitute sexual harassment towards the male actor.

Jeong Ga Eun was born in 1978 and debuted as a model in 1997. She gained fame through various Korean TV dramas such as Rollercoaster and Sunday Sunday Night, as well as variety shows like Sponge 2.0, BEAST Idol Maid, Infinite Girls, and Heroes.

Jeong Ga Eun married a businessman in 2016 and welcomed a daughter the same year. They divorced in 2018, and the actress is now raising her child alone.
