When people accessed tvN and TVing’s official drama-focused YouTube channels on July 20’s morning, the channels’ names were changed to “ripple.” All the existing drama videos on these channels have disappeared.

The channels’ IDs have also been changed, and TVing have released announcements in the community section.

TVing is on alert to understand the situation. “It seems that the channel name was changed due to an external hacking attack,” TVing said. “TVing is aware of the channel hacking and is taking measures to resolve the issue with YouTube. Please be careful not to click on suspected videos or posts with links.”

It is the first time that TVing’s YouTube account has been hacked. There are also concerns that the damage may spread to YouTube subscribers. tvN has 7.11 million YouTube subscribers and TVing has 986,000.
