Disney reveals line-up in second half of 2023: “Moving”, “Vigilante”, BTS’ documentary and more 

The Walt Disney Company will target domestic and foreign viewers in the second half of this year with new Korean works such as “Moving”, “Shadow Detective 2”, “Vigilante”, “Soundtrack #2”, BTS’ documentary and “Han River”.

On July 10th, The Walt Disney Company (TWDC, hereinafter referred to as Disney) Asia Pacific (APAC) announced a lineup of major original contents scheduled to be released through Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar in the second half of this year.

First, “Moving” (based on Kang Full’s webtoon of the same name), which has accumulated 200 million views, will be released on August 9th. Starring actors Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo and Jo In Sung, “Moving” is a supernatural drama that deals with three teenage high school students and their parents who discover their super powers.

Actors Lee Sung Min, Kyung Soo Jin and Lee Hak Joo’s “Shadow Detective” season 2 (hereinafter referred to as “Shadow Detective 2”) has been meeting viewers since July 5th. “Shadow Detective 2” tells the story of a veteran detective, who is framed for the murder of his colleague while a mysterious blackmail phone call demands him look back into his past.

Actors Nam Joo Hyuk, Yoo Ji Tae, Lee Joon Hyuk and Kim So Jin will meet viewers in the second half of the year with “Vigilante. “Vigilante” revolves around Kim Ji Yong (Nam Joo Hyuk), a student at the police academy who lost his mother at the hand of a local gangster when he was young. He becomes a vigilante and kills criminals.

“Soundtrack #2”, the sequel to “Soundtrack #1”, will also be released at the end of this year. Starring actors Geum Sae Rok and Noh Sang Hyun, this series tells the reunion story of a couple who broke up after dating for 6 years. Director Kim Hee Won took the megaphone once again.

“BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star”, a music documentary created through content collaboration between Disney and BTS’ agency HYBE, depicts the journey of “21st century pop icon” BTS.

“Han River” features an all-star cast including Kwon Sang Woo, Kim Hee Won, Lee Sang Yi, Bae Da Bin and Shin Hyun Seung, who transform into Han River police officers.
