Jang Hyun-seung Explains Incident Before His Withdrawal From BEAST, “CUBE Told Me To Not Attend Fanmeeting”
Singer Jang Hyun-seung gave an explanation about the issue that happened before he left the boy group BEAST in the past
Jang Hyun-seung recently mentioned his withdrawal from BEAST through the paid communication app fromm. He said, “At that time, I already made the decision to leave the team and was only waiting for the article about my withdrawal to be officially published, so the company told me not to come to the fanmeeting. That’s why I didn’t participate in the event and just went outside enjoying myself”, adding “I was not absent without permission”.
He continued, “The company told me to be absent from the fanmeeting and record a video a video at home explaining that I couldn’t attend the event due to various circumstances. So I recorded one on my phone to apologize to Japanese fans and sent it to the company”.
Earlier in April, Jang Hyun-seung appeared on Daesung’s YouTube channel “Zip Daesung” and mentioned HIGHLIGHT members.
He shared, “I didn’t know anything about CUBE’s plan of forming BEAST trio with me”, adding “I woke up and there was suddenly an article like that”. Jang Hyun-seung confessed, “I guess they also heard about it through articles. You guys might think it had already been discussed, but it’s all a misunderstanding”.
Jang Hyun-seung debuted as a member of BEAST in 2009 and left the group in 2016. After being reorganized as a group of five, BEAST changed their team name to HIGHLIGHT. Yong Jun-hyung later withdrew from the group due to his involvement in Jung Joon-young’s Group Chat incident. Therefore, HIGHLIGHT is currently active with 4 members.
In that process, CUBE Entertainment once announced that they would bring back BEAST and reorganize the team as a trio with Jang Hyun-seung by recruiting two more members. However, Jang Hyun-seung explained that the company never told them about the plan. Jang Hyun-seung is currently carrying out activities as a solo singer.
