Famous Girl Group Member Unveils Whereabouts After Being Diagnosed With Cancer

On June 11th, Hello Venus’s Yoo A-ra revealed on her SNS account that she was diagnosed with cancer.

Greeting fans again after a long time, Yoo A-ra said, “I guess many people think I’m already dead”. 

She said, “There were many times when I felt exhausted and my condition was bad”, adding “After taking an examination by chance, I found out that I got cancer”, informing fans that she has been fighting cancer.

Yoo A-ra continued, “According to the diagnosis, I needed to undergo surgery so I urgently underwent malignant tumor removal surgery. I’m taking medicine and resting well and my condition has gotten much better now”, comforting fans’ worries by revealing her current physical condition.

In addition, she said, “Many people were upset because they couldn’t contact me”, adding “I’ll continue to do my best to recover my condition without getting stressed out as much as possible until the end of this year. Everyone, don’t get sick. I’ll try to update more often”.

Yoo A-ra debuted as a member of the girl group Hello Venus in 2012. As the main vocalist of the group, she gained recognition for her stable singing skills. Later in 2014, Yoo A-ra left the group and turned to acting.
