aespa about AI Scenes in “Supernova” MV, “It can’t replicate human warmth or expressions”

According to members of girl group aespa, they have mixed reactions about the AI scenes in the “Supernova” MV.

On May 27, girl group aespa held a showcase in Seoul to commemorate the release of their first full album “Armageddon”.

Here, when asked about the unique AI scenes in aespa’s “Supernova” MV, Karina said, “Honestly, I was very anxious. It fits our concept well, but I wondered if it would be received positively. We asked a lot, ‘Is this right?’, ‘Is this the final version?’. I realized it was good to trust the company as it received diverse reactions.”

Meanwhile, Ningning added, “I stayed alone for a while after watching the AI part in ‘Supernova’. It was such an unexpected scene. I thought deeply about it. With the trend of AI covers and the continuous development in AI, I realized that no matter how advanced AI gets, it can’t replicate human warmth or expressions. It was reassuring.”

On the other hand, aespa’s new album “Armageddon” was released on various music sites at 6 PM (KST) today.
