Actor Kang Ha-neul, who made his debut in KBS’s 2007 drama “My Mom! Super Mom” and drew keen attention for his performances in various works, such as “Misaeng”, “When the Camellia Blooms”, “River Where the Moon Rises”, etc.
Especially, in drama “When the Camellia Blooms”, Kang Ha-neul played the role of Hwang Yong-sik, a police officer at Ongsan Police Station, and gained huge popularity by showing perfect chemistry with actress Gong Hyo-jin.
Kang Ha-neul was born in 1990 in Busan. He came to Seoul to enter an arts high school then developed his dream of becoming an actor. It is known that Kang Ha-neul worked part-time to pay the expensive tuition at that time instead of asking for money from his parents.
In addition, he appeared on the TV for the first time not through a drama but on KBS’s talk show “Morning Forum”.
Kang Ha-neul once revealed a behind story about him, saying, “My family was very excited. After seeing me and my father singing in a karaoke room, my uncle secretly applied for an appearance on ‘Morning Forum’. My father also wanted to see how a broadcasting station was like, so I went on the show and won for 3 weeks.”
Meanwhile, Kang Ha-neul is greeting the audiences through a new comedy-action movie “The Pirates: Goblin Flag”.
