30-year-old Idol Member Arrested for Attempted Murder After Stabbing Teenage Girlfriend in the Chest
The three-member group "TUYU" announced the cessation of their activities following the arrest of member Pusu (real name Yano Asaya, 30) for attempted murder
On June 9th (local time), TUYU posted a notice about the termination of their activities through their official SNS, mentioning that guitarist-producer Pusu had been arrested.
In their statement, the group said, “Since Pusu holds all authority regarding TUYU’s activities, it is difficult for us alone to make decisions about the future. We are currently in discussions with related parties regarding the distribution of CDs and digital music, YouTube music videos and the fan club, so please be patient.”
They also addressed their future activities, “Members Rei and miro will not continue activities as TUYU, nor will they be involved with Pusu. We sincerely thank all the partners and fans who have supported us.”
Previously, on May 31st, the Tokyo Nogata Police Station arrested Pusu at an apartment in Nakano Ward, Tokyo, where a teenage girl had been severely injured with a kitchen knife. Pusu was identified as the girl’s boyfriend. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and admitted, “I stabbed her intending to kill her then to kill myself.“

Pusu, who was a key member responsible for producing the group’s music, caused the group to declare an effective disbandment due to his arrest.
