The YouTuber who claimed to have received emails from singer G-Dragon’s lawyer expressed discomfort
Recently, a G-Dragon related video posted by a YouTuber through an online community garnered attention. The YouTuber claimed to have received emails from G-Dragon’s lawyer, and this stirred significant interest.
Previously, this YouTuber drew attention with a YouTube video focusing on the progress of G-Dragon’s drug use allegations. They said “G-Dragon’s lawyer sent me an email. He sent it in 3 parts” and proceeded to read the content.
The email’s contents were consistent with G-Dragon’s first official statement through his legal representative, stating, “He did not take drugs“, “He submitted a voluntary attendance statement to the police” and “He strongly expressed the intention to actively cooperate with the investigation.”
The YouTuber, who read all the contents, expressed discomfort, “I didn’t actually know who the lawyer was. I’m not interested in whether a large sum was paid or not. I went to sleep and when I woke up, there was another email. When I saw ‘We’ll respond aggressively until the end if there’s groundless speculative reporting’, I felt deeply hurt. Is this a threat?“
The YouTuber continued, “Why should K-pop’s representative artist be embroiled in such rumors? Isn’t this evidence that he can’t manage himself properly? K-pop artists receive public attention, and G-Dragon says he didn’t use drugs, but the police announced that they have clear evidence. One of them is lying. This is an issue for the public to consider.”
After the release of this video, netizens expressed various opinions such as “The lawyer is working hard” and “Other YouTubers must have received many emails as well.”
Meanwhile, G-Dragon has repeatedly denied drug use allegations through his lawyer, Kim Soo-hyun of the law firm K1 Chamber, and announced that he will voluntarily attend the police station on Nov 6th.
