Youn Yuh Jung left Hook Entertainment: “1.8 billion won spent on Louis Vuitton, my trust is broken”
It has been argued that whether there was “trust” behind actress Youn Yuh Jung’s farewell with Hook Entertainment.
Reporter-turned-YouTuber Lee Jin Ho claimed on Dec 6th that Youn Yuh Jung had complained about the luxurious spending of CEO Kwon and the board members, and that it was crucial that Hook Entertainment did not give proper feedback on the police seizure.
In a video posted on his YouTube, Lee claimed, “Youn Yuh Jung and Hook Entertainment’s breakup was an already predicted step.”
Lee Jin Ho said, “CEO Kwon Jin Young and the board members dress up in a lot of luxury fashion items. They also spent more than 1.8 billion won at Louis Vuitton,” he said. “Youn Yuh Jung raised questions about this, saying, ‘The agency is a place to work, but why are you dressing up in luxury items?'”
He then added, “With such complaints hanging in the air, the seizure and search incident broke out. Despite the occurrence of a series of incidents, Hook did not immediately feedback to Youn even after the seizure and search incident, breaking her trust in the agency.”
Citing former employees of Hook Entertainment, Lee Jin Ho said, “Youn Yuh Jung notified the agency of the exclusive contract termination after Hook Entertainment was raided by the National Police Agency’s Serious Crime Investigation Division.”
Lee Jin Ho also claimed that the first actor Hook Entertainment contacted after the seizure and search was Lee Seo Jin.
“It would have been nice if the agency had contacted other actors when it contacted Lee Seo Jin, but Lee Sun Hee and Youn Yuh Jung were not informed of anything until a few days later,” he said. “Lee Seung Gi was not informed at all regarding the seizure and search.”
He concluded, “In the process, as Hook Entertainment failed to take care of Youn Yuh Jung properly, she eventually lost her trust and decided that she could no longer be with the company anymore.”
Some said that Youn Yuh Jung sympathized with Lee Seung Gi regarding the settlement conflict between him and Hook Entertainment, but Lee Jin Ho drew the line on this rumor, saying, “It’s not true.”
Hook Entertainment was raided by police on Nov 10th. The exact reason is not known, but speculation has been raised that it may be related to actress Park Min Young‘s ex-boyfriend, Kang (41) as all 3 companies (Vident, Inbiogen, and Bucket Studio) that Kang is known to be involved were all recently raided.
