Netizens show angry reactions after a testimony of Yoo Ah In being seen drunk at a club in Itaewon was released
On April 11th, media outlet Kookmin Ilbo reported exclusively that Yoo Ah In was often seen with friends at Itaewon’s A Lounge, B Club, and C Club, quoting a source.
According to the report, Yoo Ah In often used the innermost seat at the B Club as if it were a designated seat, continuously burning something cigarette-shaped that had a different scent than ordinary cigarettes. He also didn’t order much alcohol, but was excessively drunk when leaving, which raised suspicion. Yoo Ah In, who was frequently seen at Itaewon clubs last October, disappeared after the Itaewon disaster but reappeared around the end of the year.
The informant claimed that some club insiders had suspicions about Yoo Ah In’s drug abuse even before his police investigation. This club is also known for its frequent marijuana scent. The informant said, “I hope this incident raises awareness of rampant drug abuse in clubs around Itaewon.”
Back on April 10th, a Seoul police official announced that they are investigating additional accomplices who used drugs together with Yoo Ah In, revealing that he is not considered to be acting alone. With the police’s announcement, the testimony of Yoo Ah In at the Itaewon club is gaining significant weight.
The informant also pointed out that Yoo Ah In’s group included models and broadcasters, leading to growing curiosity about who else was involved in drug use with Yoo Ah In.
Meanwhile, after the police summons on March 27th, Yoo Ah In stated on his SNS, “During the outbreak of the incident and insufficient reflection, I clearly realized that my mistake could not be concealed by any excuse. The self-rationalization I made was a wrong idea, which can never cover up my stupid choice.”
If there were accomplices and, as the informant claims, he took drugs multiple times with several people at the Itaewon club, Yoo Ah In will have to take responsibility for his previous claims.
