Actor Yoo Ah-in has drawn attention after being spotted at the VIP premiere of director Na Hong-jin’s upcoming film Hope.
The event took place on July 13 at Megabox COEX in Seoul’s Gangnam District and was attended by numerous celebrities, including Lee Jung-jae, Yum Jung-ah, Shim Eun-kyung, Lee Ji-ah, Jin Ki-joo, Koo Sung-hwan, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Rosé.

Yoo Ah-in became a trending topic after videos of him at the event spread across online communities and social media. In the footage, he appeared dressed in black with a cap pulled low over his face, obscuring most of his eyes. Nevertheless, many recognized him by his distinctive jawline and facial features.
At the venue, Yoo Ah-in was seen greeting acquaintances with a bright smile and warmly embracing them. His rare public appearance sparked mixed reactions online.
Yoo Ah-in has remained out of the public spotlight since receiving a one-year prison sentence suspended for two years after being convicted in his drug-related case.

More recently, reports emerged that he had left his longtime agency UAA, where he had been for 12 years, and was in discussions to sign an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation. Some media outlets also claimed he had been offered a signing bonus worth tens of billions of won. Speculation has also surfaced linking Yoo Ah-in to director Jang Jae-hyun’s upcoming film Vampire. However, distributor NEW stated that his casting has not been confirmed.
With Yoo Ah-in’s appearance at the VIP premiere now making headlines, public attention has once again turned to the possibility of his return to the entertainment industry.
