Yoo Ah-in, Nam Tae-hyun, Not-Yet-Disclosed Actor L: Top Stars Who Got Into Drug Scandals

Police are conducting an internal investigation after another movie star was caught taking drugs following top star Yoo Ah-in.

According to the Gyeonggi News on October 19th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency recently secured information on top star L’s drug-related charges while investigating adult entertainment establishments in Gangnam, Seoul.

An official from the National Police Agency told the media, “We are investigating based on information related to actor L’s drug use,” adding, “The criminal charges related to L’s drug use have not yet been confirmed.”

The police investigation targets reportedly include L, entertainment officials, and aspiring entertainers.

An official from the actor’s agency told My Daily, “We are checking.”

Recently, the entertainment industry has seen a series of drug cases.

Actor Yoo Ah-in was indicted without detention on charges of habitual administration of propofol, illegal purchase of sleeping pills, smoking marijuana, and destroying evidence.

Yoo Ah-in is accused of taking propofol 181 times from September 2020 to March last year and illegally prescribing sleeping pills by borrowing the name of others 44 times from May 2021 to August last year.

Meanwhile, singer Nam Tae-hyun, a former member of the group Winner, and Seo Min-jae, a cast member of Channel A’s hit show “Heart Signal,” acknowledged all the charges filed by the prosecution at the first trial held at the Seoul Western District Court. According to the prosecution, they are suspected of taking 0.5g of methamphetamine together in August last year. Nam Tae-hyun is also accused of administering 0.2g of methamphetamine alone in December last year.

Composer and businessman Don Spike, who was put on trial on charges of drug sale and possession, was sentenced to two years in prison by the Supreme Court in September.
