YG’s Revenue Even Lower than BLACKPINK’s Rosé’s Jewelry Price?

The price of jewelry pieces worn by BLACKPINK’s Rosé is revealed to be even higher than YG’s revenue in Quarter 2.

Recently, YG Entertainment released its Q2 2024 financial report. Notably, the profit from April to June of this entertainment empire reached only 300 million KRW (approximately 217,000 USD). After the four members of BLACKPINK ended their exclusive individual contracts and went independent, YG seemed to have lost its “golden goose.” Although it still operates with other artists like BABYMONSTER, TREASURE, AKMU, etc., the profit flowing into the company cannot compare to that of the global girl group.

With just the Born Pink World Tour, BLACKPINK set a revenue record, reaching 331 million USD and becoming the girl group with the highest-grossing tour in history. Therefore, it is not surprising that YG’s profit plummeted right when BLACKPINK temporarily suspended group activities. The continuous decline in performance has raised public concern about the possibility of this entertainment empire going bankrupt.

Rosé wore many expensive jewelry pieces on stages of the Born Pink World Tour

Ironically, YG’s profit in the past Q2 accounted for not even a fraction of the jewelry Rosé wore during the Born Pink tour. Particularly, this was discovered as fans recently compiled a list of the jewelry pieces sponsored by Tiffany & Co. that Rosé wore throughout the World Tour.

Although not a complete list, the diamond necklaces, bracelets, and rings Rosé wore had a total value of up to 900,000 USD. Simply put, the jewelry Rosé wore on stage is worth four times YG’s revenue in the 2nd quarter of 2024.

As a global ambassador for Tiffany & Co., cherished by the brand, it’s not surprising that Rosé always receives lavish treatment. She wears the hottest jewelry pieces, and with her influence, Rosé also helps the brand sell well.
