Fans of BLACKPINK were left stunned when Lisa shared a photo that appeared to capture the moment she was being proposed to.
The group is currently thrilling audiences worldwide with their DEADLINE world tour, marking their return after three years. With their 9th debut anniversary on August 8, BLINKs have been buzzing with celebratory projects. However, on the night of August 7, Lisa unexpectedly posted an image of what seemed to be a proposal, sending social media into a frenzy.
Speculation immediately reignited over long-standing rumors that Lisa and billionaire CEO Frédéric Arnault had secretly tied the knot. Some even interpreted the timing of the post — just before BLACKPINK’s anniversary — as a hint that the group might disband after the tour.
Fans, however, quickly pointed out that the image may actually be from behind the scenes of Lisa’s MV “Dream“, part of her “ALTER EGO” album. This theory gained traction after Lisa’s August 4 post on LLOUD’s X account and her Instagram, where she shared a photo biting the arm of a man. It was soon determined that the arm did not belong to Arnault but to an unidentified man, sparking curiosity and garnering over 2 million views on X.
Korean media outlet Nate later identified the man as Japanese actor Sakaguchi Kentaro. Following Lisa’s post, Kentaro also uploaded a picture showing the same arm, partially covered with an icon — allegedly to hide the bite mark.
Adding to the speculation, Lisa paired the proposal image with the melody of “Dream“, further suggesting it was part of the MV’s storyline, with Sakaguchi Kentaro as the male lead.
On August 12, Lisa posted a teaser for “Dream,” and it instantly sparked curiosity. The opening scenes seemed dark and emotional, showing Lisa and Sakaguchi in a cafe, sat across from each other.
The atmosphere changed as it looked back at the happy moments between the two, showing the chemistry through skinship and the gaze between the stars. Netizens were shocked by the chemistry between Lisa and Sakaguchi.
The “proposal” shot has now left fans eager to see how Lisa will portray the narrative in the MV. If this wedding scene is indeed part of the concept, it would mark the first “public wedding” of a BLACKPINK member — even if only on screen.
