Yang Dong Geun talks about getting cast for “Squid Game 2”, “I feel like I’ve become a squid”

Actor Yang Dong Geun expressed his feelings about joining the cast of Netflix’s original series “Squid Game Season 2”.

Yang Dong Geun appeared on the June 23rd broadcast of KBS-2TV’s music talk show “The Seasons – Choi Jung Hoon’s Night Park”. He guested on the show together with Penomeco that day.

First, Yang Dong Geun shared his thoughts about appearing on the stage after a long time. He said, “I’m standing on the stage again after 8 years. Thank you so much for inviting me here”.

Yang Dong Geun recently announced his appearance in “Squid Game 2”. He will be joining the new season of “Squid Game” together with Im Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, and Park Sung Hoon.

In this regard, the actor said, “I got cast in ‘Squid Game 2’ with Kang Ha Neul and Im Si Wan. I feel like I’ve become a squid myself”, drawing laughter.

Netflix has not revealed anything regarding female cast members. So far, only male actors have been announced.

The production team is planning to start their full-fledged filming soon. According to an official, “Squid Game 2” plans to hold a script reading next month.

Meanwhile, “Squid Game” was the biggest global hit of 2021. It attracted the most viewers among Netflix original series and gained enormous popularity by sweeping various international awards.
