BTS’s V set another record on TikTok with his fancam!
BTS’s Permission to Dance On Stage concert took place in late November and early December at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, USA. One of the most memorable moments of BTS’s first in-person concert after 2 years is V’s “Squid Game” cosplay.
On TikTok, a fantaken video of V dressed in a pink suit like the soldiers in Netflix’s hit Squid Game went super viral. After more than a month, the video exceeded 10.4 million likes, attracted 130,000 comments and nearly 60 million views, becoming the most liked Kpop video (posted by fans, excluding official accounts) in TikTok history.
This video became so viral because of V’s top-tier visuals and sexy charm in the Squid Game character outfit. In the 15-second video, V takes off his mask, showing attractive and playful expressions on the big screen at SoFi Stadium. Always knowing how to make use of his handsome face, V captures the hearts of millions of fans with how hot he looks.
In the comments under the video, not only fans, but muggles are also unable to resist V’s handsome visual and alluring charm. Many netizens shared that they joined V’s fandom after watching this fancam.
V’s viral fancam also surpassed the number of interactions on fancam videos of “TikTok king and queen” Jungkook (BTS) and Lisa (BLACKPINK). Previously, the record for a K-pop video with the most likes belonged to Jungkook’s “Butter” fancam (10.3 million likes). The views of V’s fancam also surpassed BLACKPINK’s “legendary” fan-edited video in July 2020. The video of Lisa at the airport has earned 51.4 million views after more than a year since it was posted.
