Following the dementia risk of “Thor” star Chris Hemsworth, fellow Hollywood star Hugh Jackman revealed he may be facing skin cancer again.

On April 3rd (local time), Hugh Jackman revealed on his Instagram that he had undergone a skin cancer examination. In the past, he had suffered from basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer.

On that day, the actor said, “I know you’ve heard me talk about my basal cell carcinomas before. I’m going to keep talking about them, if need be. And if it reminds even one person to put on sunscreen with a high SPF, then I’m happy.”

He also shared, “I’ve just had two biopsies done, I just went to my doctor”, adding that the doctor detected possible symptoms of what could be basal cell carcinoma.

Now, Hugh Jackman is awaiting the results of a skin cancer test.

Earlier, “Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth was also said to be considering retirement from the film industry after discovering genes related to Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common degenerative brain disease that causes dementia.

Particularly, during the filming of “Limitless”, Chris discovered that he faced a 8-10 times higher risk of contracting Alzheimer’s than the average person. As a result, he and his wife Elsa Pataky are taking measures to prevent dementia.

At the time, he expressed his concerns about Alzheimer’s, saying, “It seems like my memory is getting worse. Is it a placebo effect?”
