WJSN member-actress Bona expressed her thoughts on her two stage names.
When attending the press conference of MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Joseon Attorney” held at MBC Golden Mouse Hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of March 31st, Bona was asked about her stage names.
Bona started acting in earnest and she is using her real name Kim Ji Yeon when working as an actress.
She started using her real name Kim Ji Yeon from the drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One”. She explained the background, “It didn’t mean much. The director and people around me suggested using my real name.”
This question came up as IU recently announced that she had unified her singer and actress stage names.
Earlier, at the press conference of the movie “Dream”, IU confessed, “When I am an actor, I use Lee Ji Eun in the credits, but everyone calls me IU anyway. I thought I could confuse you.”
On the other hand, Bona, who has a strong image as an acting idol, said, “I didn’t intend to make a big difference. It just means to start acting in earnest as Kim Ji Yeon.”
