Wi Ha-joon Expresses Expectations For “Squid Game Season 2”

Actor Wi Ha-joon revealed his excitement ahead of the release of Netflix’s original series “Squid Game Season 2”

On July 5th, Wi Ha-joon met with Wikitree at a cafe in Gangnam-gu, Seoul and had an interview after tvN’s Sat-Sun drama “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” ended.

Wi Ha-joon played the role of Lee Joon-ho, who quit his job at a large company to become a new instructor at a private academy in Daechi-dong. He falls in love with Seo Hye-jin (Jung Ryeo-won), who used to be his teacher in the past and also his first love.

When asked about his next project after “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon”, Wi Ha-joon said, “I have not yet decided on my next project. After ‘The Midnight Romance in Hagwon’ ended, I finished filming the remaining episodes for ‘Squid Game 2’. I’ve been working for several years without resting. This is my first time having a short break. I’m also doing martial arts training and Pilates. I already selected songs for my fanmeeting so I’m practicing”.

Wi Ha-joon will also appear in the upcoming Season 2 of Netflix’s series “Squid Game”. The actor gained attention after starring in “Squid Game Season 1” as a police officer who infiltrates the games.

Regarding his feelings ahead of “Squid Game 2” premiere at the end of this year, the actor said, “We’ll be able to greet fans who like ‘Squid Game’ from all over the world once again with Season 2. I’m also grateful to be with the team this time”.

He continued, “Various characters have been added in ‘Squid Game 2’, so there are many things to see. There are a lot of attractive characters and stories to expect. I know fans are looking forward to Season 2. I’m also excited for it. I hope I can show a more mature appearance compared to Season 1”.
