The 1st and 3rd places of “The Most Beautiful Woman in the World” were all taken by female Kpop idols, proving the worldwide craze surrounding Kpop.
Nubia Magazine, a British entertainment media, recently concluded their 5-month poll about “The Most Beautiful Woman in the World”, which is conducted in 116 countries. According to the recently-announced results, BLACKPINK Lisa took 3rd place, while TWICE Tzuyu took 2nd place.
The first place also belonged to BLACKPINK, with Jisoo coming out on top. The female idol received 500,000 votes from a total of 98 countries, including Korea as well as Central and South American nations such as Mexico, Colombia, and Peru.
In 4th place was Hande Erçel, a Turkish actress, and 5th place was taken by Chinese actress Dilraba Dilmurat. Pop star Ariana Grande, as well as Hollywood stars Scarlett Johansson and Bella Hadid also made it into the top 10.
BLACKPINK and TWICE are Korea’s representative girl groups, who have numerous fans not only in Korea but also around the world.
BLACKPINK recently unveiled their pre-release single “Pink Venom” ahead of their 2nd full album “Born Pink”, which is scheduled to drop in September.
Meanwhile, TWICE recently announced that all members have renewed their contracts with JYP, and just made a comeback with their 11th mini-album “BETWEEN 1&2” and title song “Talk that Talk” on August 26th.
