On Sep 18th, a post titled “Another controversial filming nuisance roadblock” was uploaded on online communities.

A claimed, “While filming, no one came out to provide safety guidance. The sidewalk and bicycle lane were blocked, so the children had to walk on the road.”

A added, “What’s going on on the normal way to school? I’m angry that filming has to be done during the children’s school hours. Please avoid school hours so that children can walk on the sidewalk.”

In response, the production team of “Pyramid Game” said in a phone call with Sports Seoul, “We confirmed that walking was inconvenient at the filming location last week. We sincerely apologize for not paying more careful attention during the production process.

They added, “We will try to strengthen safety and prevent unsavory incidents from happening again through more thorough on-site management in the future.”

Meanwhile, “Pyramid Game”, based on the popular webtoon of the same name, is a school thriller drama. Set in Baekyeon Girls’ High School, “Pyramid Game” deals with the subject of school violence. Each student is graded through a popularity vote, and grade-F students will become victims of school violence legally. It is scheduled to be released on TVING in 2024.
