NewJeans has been warmly welcomed in Japan.
On August 19th, NewJeans and the rock band Pale Waves appeared together at the prestigious Japanese music festival, Summer Sonic 2023. During NewJeans’ performance, tens of thousands of spectators flocked to see the popular K-pop girl group, creating a breathtaking scene. This demonstrates the current level of fame that the “BTS sister group” holds in the world’s second-largest music market.
When the UK band Pale Waves took the stage, the audience started leaving, leaving vast empty spaces in the viewing area. Comparing the audience scale between NewJeans and Pale Waves’ performances, the public easily notices the contrasting difference.
