BTS Suga’s tattoo caused a huge chaos on Subway Line 9, 7 people injured

Netizens criticized BTS Suga fans for screaming while watching livestream and causing a stir on the subway.

At 8:40 p.m. on August 6th, many passengers were injured while hurriedly evacuating from a train on Seoul Subway Line 9. Various speculations, such as a knife attack or a gas leak, spread through social media, adding to the confusion.

After receiving a report that “there was a strange smell and people were running around”, police and firefighters rushed to the scene.

When the subway stopped at Sinnonhyeon Station, passengers hurriedly got off the train all at once, causing seven people to get injured. According to videos taken at the scene, passengers fell as they got entangled and pushed each other hard, creating a chaotic situation that could have led to a more serious accident. 

Police and firefighters evacuated the passengers evacuated the passengers then conducted an inspection inside and outside the train. However, they found no sign of a gas leak or a knife attack.

It turned out that the disturbance was caused by fans who took the train to go home after watching BTS Suga’s concert. The fans were watching Suga’s live broadcast on the train then suddenly Suga revealed his tattoo so they began screaming out loud.

Nearby passengers also panicked as they did not understand why the group screamed. The incident was captured in videos and spread rapidly on SNS sites.

In response, netizens poured criticism on the fans, saying “How could they scream like that on the subway?”, “Those screaming people almost caused a stampede. They should be punished”, “Subway is not the concert hall. Hold yourself back”, “I feel so sorry for Suga since he may be criticized out of nowhere because of those fans”, etc.
