BLACKPINK Jennie celebrated BLACKPINK’s appearance as a headlining act at the Coachella 2023 with behind-the-scenes photos.
On April 19th, BLACKPINK Jennie posted a series of photos with the caption, “Pinkchella week 1. Words can’t express how special this experience was. Still over the moon and grateful for this moment. Thank you.”
The released images showed glimpses behind the scenes of BLACKPINK’s performances at Coachella 2023 and moments before their headlining set.
BLACKPINK headlined Coachella 2023 on April 15th (local time). The YG girl group rocked the stage with electrifying stage performances, such as “Pink Venom,” “WHISTLE,” “PLAYING WITH FIRE” and “Shut Down.”
BLACKPINK became the first Korean girl group to perform at Coachella in 2019 and the first K-pop act to headline the festival.
In the photos, the BLACKPINK members were overwhelmed with joy for being on the stage of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The pictures captured moments of them hugging each other and raising their glasses. One photo stood out as Lisa and Jennie shed tears of joy.
In response, Jisoo commented, “I love you,” showing off a strong bond between the members.
On the other hand, BLACKPINK’s next night of performance is on April 22nd (local time). Additionally, in July, the girl group will be the first K-pop act to appear as a headliner at the British Summer Time Hyde Park Festival, the UK’s top music festival.
At the same time, BLACKPINK is hosting the “BORN PINK” world tour across cities. YG recently announced an addition of four shows in the group’s North America leg.
