Super Junior member Kyuhyun, who is known for drinking a lot, draws attention for writing a “drinking record” for 8 years.
In the 4th episode of tvN’s entertainment show “Look at my shoulder. It’s dislocated” (literal translation), which aired on September 30th, Swings, Eun Ji Won, Kyu Hyun, and Song Minho had a drink and converse together.
At the drinking party that day, Kyuhyun stimulated curiosity by saying, “I was curious about how much alcohol I drank. So I wrote down my drinking status in notes.”
When everyone was curious about his notes, Kyuhyun showed the records he had taken directly on his cell phone. Here, the memo pad was all about how many days Kyuhyun drank every month.
Even Kyuhyun counted the number of days he drank alcohol in a month and recorded it as a percentage.
He also added the reason why he didn’t drink if he hadn’t drank a single day in a month.
Kyuhyun explained about the percentage written down on the notepad, saying “It expresses the percentage of times I drink per month.”
Swings, who saw Kyuhyun’s record, said, “You wrote it down like a scientist,” while Eun Ji Won also admired Kyuhyun’s meticulous drinking habits.
Apparently, Kyuhyun has maintained that record for 8 years, from 2014 to now.
The reason he’s been taking notes for so long was to remember exactly what he did on the day he drank.
Kyuhyun emphasized the merits of his “drinking record”, saying, “After I started writing this, the moment I see the record, I can recall the events of that day.”
On the other hand, Kyuhyun has appeared on variety shows in the past to show his extraordinary love for alcohol.
He once said that his basic drinking capacity was 3 bottles, and used to draw attention for being able to tell apart different brands of soju by taste only in the tvN program “New Journey to the West”.
After drinking with Kyuhyun last year, Yoon Jong Shin Yoon was surprised by the male idol’s unusual alcohol intake and posted a drunken selfie he took with Kyuhyun.
In the photo, Yoon Jong-shin, whose nose was red as if drunk, was hugged by Kyuhyun, who boasted a healthy face.
Yoon Jong Shin also said, “Kyuhyun’s drinking capacity is too strong”, while netizens who saw the post responded with comments such as, “As expected, drinking god Kyuhyun” and “You are both warm-hearted. Cute”.
