Attention is being drawn to the credit card usually used by BLACKPINK Lisa after she bought a house in Seongbuk-dong, Seoul for 7.5 billion won
On January 31st, BLACKPINK Jisoo published a video titled “COLOGNE vlog” on her personal YouTube channel. In the video, Jisoo and fellow member, Lisa, can be seen visiting the Christmas market in Cologne, Germany.
In particular, the two bought a bunch of different flavored liquors at the same store. When it’s time to pay, netizens’ eyes were drawn to a credit card inside the wallet Lisa pulled out.
Afterwards on February 1st, an article titled “BLACKPINK Lisa’s card” was published on an online community. The article was viewed more than 32,000 times in about 2 hours and received about 200 comments.
The same article revealed that the card Lisa uses is Hyundai Card’s “The Black Edition 3”, which was known to be used by Lee Jung Jae and once became a hot topic.
Specifically, it was previously reported that Chung Tae Young, vice chairman of Hyundai Card, presented Lee Jung Jae with a unique VVIP card number in December 2022. The voice chairman also posted a photo taken with Lee Jung Jae on Facebook along with the caption, “We’ve been friends for 20 years, and he’s a precious nobleman who always inspires us with a different level of imagination. I gave him a black card number 456 to commemorate his hit drama ‘Squid Game’.”
On the other hand, Hyundai Card’s “The Black Edition 3” is a credit card with an annual fee of 2.5 million won, which is issued to only 0.05% of Korean people with top-tier social status and economic ability, who received an invitation from Hyundai Card. In addition, the card can only be issued after receiving unanimous approval from the Approval Committee, which consists of eight executives, including Vice Chairman Chung. Only 1000 people can receive issuance.
In an interview, Vice Chairman Chung mentioned this special black card saying, “The number of members has never exceeded 1,000, as we imposed a strict basis and criteria.”
Other than Lee Jung Jae and Lisa, other known black card users include BTS Jin and Jungkook, actress Jun Ji Hyun, and BIGBANG G-Dragon.
